“Yiddish Soul“, an annual concert organized by the National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene and the Museum of Jewish Heritage, is gearing up for its third year, which will include several non-mainstream Jewish artists.
The lineup will include The Klezmatics, Zusha, The Maccabeats, Daniel Kahn, and cantors Yaakov “Yanky” Lemmer and Chaim Dovid Berson. Iconic radio personality Nachum Segal will be hosting.

The Promised Land (Israeli rapper Sagol 59‘s Hebrew-language Grateful Dead tribute project) recently appeared at The Deanery in Brooklyn, NY, during which they performed their cover of “New Minglewood Blues“. The onstage menagerie included Noah Lehrman on drums and Soulfarm‘s C Lanzbom on guitar. You can watch the clip below.
NYC indie artist Nehedar (Emilia Cataldo) will host a release concert for her new album Hello Abyss at The Bowery Electric on Wednesday, March 15. Supporting acts will include PERL, Blanket Statementsein, and Fierce Love. Tickets can be purchased here.
