Botzer releases video for “ADD”

Tel Aviv indie rocker Botzer has released a video for his new single “ADD“. The song was produced by Botzer regular Ori Avni, while the clip was directed and co-written by Eldad Eilat.

The track explores Botzer’s personal struggles with the titular disorder, a favorite subject of his since his debut. Here, he examines how his ADD shaped both his childhood and adult life, while at the same time offering hope and encouragement to children with the condition. The video illustrates this in a surreal yet moving fashion: a child (Botzer’s real-life son, Yosef-Or), bored and distracted in class, draws and subsequently brings to life a box-headed imaginary friend (Botzer), who accompanies him to a strange underwater world, all leading to a hauntingly ambiguous ending.

New Single: Botzer Project, “Pardes Rimonim”

Produced, arranged, and co-composed by Ori Avni, the song is dedicated to Botzer’s daughter, with the chorus telling her “Your goodness will prevail over all the broken pieces / And slowly you will walk into the orchard of pomegranates“. He is currently working on his third album with Avni as producer.
